Five little tips and a recipe that make poached eggs easy peasy to cook!



  • 1 l water
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 4 eggs medium - the best quality you can afford (organic - free range) for the taste and most importantly the freshest possible for the success of the poaching


  1. Bring the water, salt and vinegar to the boil.
  2. Crack the egg into a small bowl .
  3. Stir the water with a spoon to create a whirlpool and gently tip the egg from the bowl into the centre of the swirling water. Cook for 3-4 minutes just on simmering point.
  4. Remove, drain and serve.
